Human Vibration

The new vibration regulations require a risk assessment, with measurement if necessary, if there is potential for exposure to hand/arm or whole body vibrations. If you want the exposure at your workplace assessed, contact us to discuss it.

ANV Technology is one of the few companies who offer a comprehensive measurement service in human vibration. While this is relatively new topic in Ireland, the principals’ experience in measuring human vibration goes back to the late 1980’s, when working with Bruel & Kjaer Denmark.

 Breathing Air Quality

ANV Technology are now offering a service for measurement of breathing air quality, in accordance with EN 12021. Workers using powered respirators to protect them from chemicals must be assured of breathing air of sufficient quality. This can only be proven by measurement. We can assist in devising a suitable sampling program and undertaking the regular sampling.

 New Regulations

There have been quite a few changes in health and safety regulations in recent years. The recent noise and vibration regulations have now been replaced by the General Application Regulations in November 2007. There are no substantive changes in the regulations however.

If you are not sure whether the REACH requirements apply to your company, the ECHA  published "Guidance for requirements of substances in articles" in May 2008. Visit the HSA website for information on this or any REACH topic at www.hsa.ie.
